Uplands Meat Products (UMP) is a family owned meat products corporation based in Bergen County, New Jersey, USA.

It's been a long time in the making. In 1958, a young man joined Uplands Bacon Factory in Kenya, straight out of school. Working from the very bottom, salting pigs in the warehouse, he rose through the ranks to branch manager. Eventually in 1973, he bought the company's outlet in Nakuru, Kenya. When the parent company later ceased business for economic reasons, he began processing high quality products and continues to do so today, more than 45 years after he joined the meat industry.

Growing up in that family, UMP's founders knew life in the meat industry and on the farm first hand. When it came time to start their own business in the United States, it was a natural step for them to look back to the meat industry... the business they knew and loved.

UMP provides premium quality processed meat products to discerning customers. UMP markets a line of gourmet sausages, and continues expanding and developing other gourmet products for customers all over the USA.
